2. Arlington Home Cleaning Service Terms

By booking an appointment, the client agrees to the following terms:

I. Liability and 1099 Contractor Status

Contractor Model: Arlington Home Cleaning LLC is a management and referral platform. We work with independent contractors. To the fullest extent permitted by Virginia law, the client agrees that Arlington Home Cleaning LLC is not vicariously liable for the individual acts, omissions, or negligence of contractors.
Damage Limitation: Liability for any approved claim is strictly limited to the cost of the original service or one hundred dollars ($100), whichever is less.
Pre-Existing Conditions: We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, loose fixtures, or wear-and-tear (e.g., grout deterioration, paint chips) that becomes visible during cleaning.
Indemnification: Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Arlington Home Cleaning LLC from all claims, damages, or legal fees arising from injuries or property damage occurring on the premises.

II. Claims, Refunds, and Documentation

24-Hour Rule: All concerns must be submitted via our official Claim Form within 24 hours of service and must include photo evidence.
Refund Policy: We do not offer cash refunds. If unsatisfied, we will send a contractor back to re-clean missed areas at no cost, provided the claim was made within 24 hours.
Theft Claims: Claims involving theft must be accompanied by a police report filed with the Arlington County Police Department within 24 hours.
Photography: We reserve the right to take before/after photos for quality control and marketing unless you opt out in writing.

III. Scheduling, Cancellations, and Utilities

Utilities: Client must ensure electricity and running water are available. If unavailable, the service will be cancelled and the Lock-out Fee will apply.
Lock-out Fee: If cleaners cannot access the property within 15 minutes of the arrival window, the client will be charged the full price of the service.
Late Cancellation: Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice are subject to a flat $50.00 fee.

IV. Safety, Biohazards, and Pets

Right to Refuse: We do not clean animal waste, human bodily fluids, mold, or pest infestations. Cleaners will not move furniture or appliances over 25 lbs.
Pets & Children: Pets and children must be secured or supervised during the cleaning. Arlington Home Cleaning LLC is not liable for accidents or injuries resulting from unsecured pets or unsupervised children.

V. Dispute Resolution and Non-Solicitation

Governing Law: This agreement is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Any legal proceedings shall take place exclusively in Arlington County, Virginia.
Non-Solicitation: Clients agree not to offer direct work to our contractors for two years. A $500 referral fee applies to any violation, including attempts to book contractors outside our platform.
