What a Regular Visit Covers
In a standard cleaning visit, we work on the outside of your furniture. We straighten cushions, remove visible dirt and pet hair, and vacuum or wipe the surfaces. This keeps your furniture looking nice between deeper cleanings. We do not fully clean the fabric or leather.
Fabric Sofas and Accent Chairs
Fabric couches, especially ones people use a lot, show dust and pet hair quickly. A vacuum with an upholstery tool picks up loose dirt better than wiping. That’s why we vacuum fabric furniture, not use wet cleaners. Spot stains are different. Many fabrics exist, from tough ones to delicate ones. We never use stain removers on your furniture without asking you first. The wrong cleaner on the wrong fabric can make stains stick or damage the color.
Leather and Faux Leather
Leather furniture needs different care than fabric. We wipe it with a dry or slightly damp cloth, not a vacuum. Leather does not collect dust like fabric does, but it shows wipe marks easily. Wrong cleaners can dry it out. Fake leather is easier to clean but still needs gentle care. Harsh tools can scratch the surface.
Ottomans and Accent Pieces
Ottomans and pouf seats get used as footrests and extra seating. They get as much wear as a big couch even though they are smaller. Ottomans sit right in front of couches, so they are easy to miss. We clean them the same as any other furniture, not skip them.
Throw Pillows and Cushion Covers
Loose throw pillows get straightened and lightly vacuumed when the fabric allows. Washable cushion covers are up to you to wash at home. Washing covers is not part of a standard cleaning visit. But washing them helps keep furniture looking fresh between deeper cleanings.
When Furniture Needs More Than a Regular Visit
If furniture has bad stains, deep dirt, or bad smells, it needs special upholstery cleaning with steam or special tools. A regular house cleaning does not include this. We will tell you if your furniture needs this kind of work instead of promising a regular cleaning will fix it.
