Deep cleans and move-out cleans both take longer than a standard visit, so it helps to book them earlier than a routine cleaning. This post covers how much lead time to plan for.
Why Lead Time Matters More for These Services
A standard recurring visit is a known quantity — same home, same general scope, booked on a repeating schedule. Deep cleans and move-out cleans are usually one-off, larger-scope bookings, which means they take longer to complete and need to be slotted into our schedule alongside recurring commitments. Booking further ahead gives us more room to offer a time that suits you.
Deep Cleans: A Few Weeks Out Is a Good Target
If you’re planning a deep clean — whether it’s a seasonal reset, prep before hosting, or just catching up after a long stretch without one — booking a couple of weeks ahead is a reasonable target. If you have a firm deadline, like a holiday gathering or a specific event, book earlier than that. Our deep cleaning service starts at $210+ for a studio, $220+ for a 1BR, and $270+ for a 2BR. It adds the inside of the oven, fridge, and microwave to a standard visit, and the time on-site depends on your home’s size.
Move-Out Cleans: Tie It to Your Actual Move Date, Early
Move-out cleaning has its own timing pressure, because it’s almost always tied to a hard deadline — a lease end date, a closing date, a handoff to a new tenant. A few things make early booking especially important here:
- Many moves happen at the end of the month, so those dates are more likely to be taken
- You typically want the clean to happen after your furniture and belongings are out, which means it has to land in a narrow window between move-out and final walkthrough or handoff
- If your move date shifts having booked early leaves more room to adjust than starting your search again
As soon as you have a firm or even likely move date, it’s worth getting on the calendar. Our move-out cleaning service starts at $285+ for a studio, $295+ for a 1BR, and $345+ for a 2BR. It builds on a deep clean and adds the inside of cabinets and drawers in the vacant home.
What If You’re Booking Last Minute?
Sometimes there’s no way around a short timeline — a move date changes, or a deep clean need comes up unexpectedly. In those cases, reach out as soon as you know and we will tell you what we can fit in. A late call may not work out, but it is still worth making.
A Simple Rule of Thumb
If you know the date is coming — a lease ending, a closing scheduled, a holiday you’re hosting — put booking near the top of your to-do list. An early booking leaves you more options than waiting until the week of.
