A standard cleaning keeps your home looking good when it’s already clean. It works at a normal pace. A deep clean does everything from a standard clean plus inside the oven, fridge, and microwave. That takes longer. If you book a deep clean, set aside more time than you would for a regular visit. Don’t schedule anything else in the house right after.
Access: What the Crew Actually Needs
Both types need basic access. Let us in and let us move around the rooms we’re cleaning. Deep cleans need a little more:
- Access to areas behind and under furniture where possible. If there’s anything you don’t want moved (fragile items, electronics with specific cable setups), it’s worth noting that ahead of time rather than during the visit.
- Access to the oven, fridge, and microwave, since a deep clean includes their insides. Empty or clear shelves where you can. Inside cabinets and drawers are part of move-out cleaning, not deep cleaning, so ask if you want them added.
- Uninterrupted time in bathrooms and the kitchen, since these rooms get the most detailed attention and having them in active use during the visit slows things down for everyone.
A standard visit is easier for access. We clean what’s already out like counters, floors, and things you touch a lot. We don’t need to go into areas we don’t usually touch.
Communication: Before, During, and After
Before the visit: This matters more for a deep clean. There are more questions about what’s included, like whether the basement is included or if you want add-ons. Tell us these things when you book. This avoids problems where we don’t do what you thought.
During the visit: Make sure we can reach you, even if you’re not home. This helps if we find something we didn’t expect. Like a locked room, a pet to secure, or if we should move something or leave it.
After the visit: Look around while it’s clean, especially after a deep clean. You can spot anything we missed. Now is a good time to decide if you want regular cleanings. This way you won’t need another deep clean later.
